“For many years I've been drawing faces, starting with the faces of my own children, and then the faces of sick and elderly patients when I was a nurse. There is mystery in any face, be it a real or an imagined face. Sometimes I create a face with just a few simple shapes, and sometimes with great detail, but the goal is the same: to capture the intangible.”
